The UK and UK football were brought to a standstill this weekend due to the actions of one individual - #garylineker who acted on his conscience and spoke out about human rights and refugees. A media corporation, #theBBC, was too afraid to challenge their political masters, the #ToryParty, and this fear caused them to ruin Television's most popular football show, #MOTD Match of the Day by taking it's most revered football host and commentator Gary Lineker "off air" in an impartiality row that is sparking an unprecedented crisis at the corporation. The controversy surrounding the Chairman of the BBC, Richard Sharp, allegedly helping the then-Prime Minister #BorisJohnson receive an £800,000 personal loan, is a serious concern that requires further scrutiny. This alleged action and beaviour by the Chairman of the BBC is not impartial, not correct, and calls into question the ethics and practices of those involved. In order to restore confidence in the BBC, it is important that Richard Sharp steps down and that Gary Lineker is reinstated. The media must be held accountable for their actions and should always act in the best interest of the public.
